At Sen. John McCain’s memorial Saturday at the Washington National Cathedral, the senator’s daughter Meghan McCain gave a eulogy that, amid praise for her father, took a direct jab at President Trump and his campaign motto.
“The America of John McCain has no need to be made great again, because America was always great,” said McCain, a talk-show host, to applause from those assembled.
And in a plot twist most of us saw coming, it seems the president heard her message, as he took to Twitter at 3:53 p.m. on Saturday to tweet his campaign slogan. In all caps. He also retweeted his own tweet Sunday morning
